We want to share news of a new Lilly Endowment Initiative with you all: the Serving Neighbors Through Congregational Collaborations Initiative.

Lilly Endowment invites eligible charitable organizations to apply for a grant from its new Serving Neighbors Through Congregational Collaborations Initiative. This initiative has two complementary aims: 1) to enhance the quality of life of individuals and families by encouraging stronger collaborations in local communities between Christian congregations and charitable organizations that utilize their respective strengths to jointly undertake efforts that address community needs and priorities and 2) to deepen the faith of individuals and enhance the vitality of congregations by providing opportunities for Christians to practice their faith through acts of love and care for their neighbors.

Interested and eligible organizations are invited to submit concept papers by January 19, 2027. Learn more about the Serving Neighbors initiative via its webpage or by attending one of the Endowment’s virtual information sessions on November 2 or November 3.
