During our first quarter of the year, Emmanuel Evangelical Church of Grand Rapids (EECGR) was dedicated to meticulous planning and organization to ensure they would have the necessary resources and people to love their community. In March, their youth and teens embarked on a transformative retreat, where they received specialized training tailored to their age and understanding. This retreat not only enhanced their communication skills but also strengthened their faith in Jesus Christ and deepened their connection with God. Furthermore, EECGR organized a vibrant Easter celebration that showcased our rich Ethiopian heritage, serving traditional food and beverages, and inviting the entire community to participate. The event was a resounding success, with over 140 attendees. To add to the festive atmosphere, they also hosted an Easter Eve program that preceded the main meal and festivities.
