Empowering Latino Young Adult Leaders Through Ministerial Leadership Formation at El Dios Viviente United Methodist Church is about relationships, trusting that with encouragement, spiritual grounding, and intentional formation, these young leaders will grow into their gifts and step more fully into leadership within the church and their wider community.
The past months of February and March have been full. Alongside the regular rhythms of ministry and the added demands of the Lenten season, Pastor Gerardo and Pastor Caleb have been stretched with planning, programming, and leadership. Yet they have continued to press on, thoughtfully planning the next retreat and imagining how they can best serve young adults. They hope the upcoming retreat will create space for leadership development through workshops, introduce Wesleyan and Methodist theology in accessible and engaging ways, and include times of worship, prayer, and reflection.
