Bellwether House hosts EDV Good Friday Footwashing Service
Bellwether House opened in February 2026 as the next chapter of what East Denver Vineyard has been building for years: piloting a community formation and hospitality house with the prayerful conviction that formation happens at and around tables. From the first weeks, it hosted a series of Lenten gatherings and Holy Week services shaped by EDV’s core rhythms: intergenerational presence, embodied practice, and the kind of unhurried spiritual attentiveness that has marked the church’s work across salons, prayer walks, and neighborhood tables.
The culminating moment of Holy Week was a Good Friday footwashing service. Across generations, people knelt together and practiced what Jesus asked of his friends the night before he died.
Bellwether House is already demonstrating to be what EDV prayed it would be: a gathered place where God’s renewing presence, the Spirit’s transforming work, and Christ’s hospitality sending people outward are not aspirations but lived rhythms.
